Abstract

The noise immunity of radio communication systems based on IEEE 802.15.4–2020 and IEEE 802.15.4z–2020 standards under interference effect of variable-duration impulse noise is investigated. The simulation model of a radio communication channel for estimation of the bit error rate for noise with different parameters is developed using the MATLAB. The estimates of the noise immunity for different standard modes taking into account the structure of transmitted data are obtained. The comparison between the characteristics of standard modes is performed. A developed model can be modified for estimation of the noise immunity under interference effect of others types of noise. The obtained results of noise immunity estimation can be used for development of perspective ultra-wideband radio communication systems and increasing the efficiency of existing radio communication systems.
