Abstract

The mechanical properties of polyester resin composition with copper (I) oxide dispersed filler particles (non capsulated, capsulated by polylactide, and dissolved by the resin components) are considered in that paper. It was showing that a capsulated filler particle has better interaction with polymer matrix than non capsulated particles. So, the tensile strength and hardness of PCM are increasing, but ultimate deformation is decreasing. The strength characteristics of PCM with partial dissolution of copper (I) oxide particles by the components of the polyester resin was decrease. The density of the polymer binder network due to the loss of styrene, as well as the formation of complexes of copper salts are the cause of strength characteristics decrease.
