Abstract

In the academic year 2021/2022, the State Matriculation Exam (the examination taken at the end of Secondary education to qualify for entry into University) was held for the first time for the students studying the profiling subject of Informatics in the Bulgarian secondary school. The article examines the tasks from the two sessions of the exam, which are supposed test the ability of high school students to select/create algorithms. The conditions to which a task of this type must meet and to what extent the tasks of the two exam topics satisfy these conditions are examined in detail.
