Abstract

The article analyzes the use of Ukrainian archetypes in the choreographic images of the Ukrainian adaptation of the TV show “Strictly Come Dancing” in 2017−2019. The author considers the problem of creating a vivid dance image as to cause certain emotional state of the audience. The dance is an oldest language of the human body, can allows to clearly manifest subconscious archetypes, attitudes and appeals to higher forces. The article is devoted to the phenomenon of the archetype, which can be positive and negative, male and female. The emphasis is on the fact that the archetypes cause the greatest emotional reactions. Typology of dance images, which are peculiar to a particular culture, is based on the subconscious archetypes. The issues of improving the training of great choreographers, who are able to combine modern choreography with ethnic traditions (Ukrainian archetype). The purpose of the article was to analyze Ukrainian archetypes in choreographic images, using the example of the Ukrainian version of the TV show “Strictly Come Dancing” in 2017−2019. The author raises the problem of the use of archetypes in creating choreographic images to achieve an intense emotional response from the audience with choreography by TV show “Strictly Come Dancing” (Ukraine). Also, a connection was established between the melody, the lyrics and the plastic expression in the choreographic image. Described choreographic archetypes of a warrior, mistress, master, nymph “Mavka”, country girl, love between the Moon and the Sun. In conclusion, the phenomenon of choreographic compositions of modern TV shows is revealed, which provides ample opportunities for experiments with the plastic expression of female and male archetypes. The choreography reflects the peculiarities of the national character, fixed at the level of the most ancient archetypes by the “the spirit of the nation” and “the soul of the ethnos”. This point of view will be of interest to choreographers and dancers.
