Abstract

The article reveals the features of the process of formation and development of the units of the Soviet criminal investigation department in the early 20s. Using the example of the activity of the "Brigade-mobile". The authors point out that one of the main tasks of the Soviet state in the field of law enforcement in the period under review was the creation of a permanent, centralized criminal investigation service with an extensive network of territorial divisions.
