Abstract

The article considers the nature of mental trauma. The authors summarize the main theoretical approaches to the study of the essence of psychological traumatization in military personnel of law enforcement and law enforcement structures, presented in domestic and foreign literature. The whole set of interpretations of the term "mental trauma" is integrated through the prism of sex research approaches: 1) clinical-nosocentric; 2) psychodynamic; 3) structural-dissociative; 4) behavioral; 5) cognitive; 6) personal. The content of the main theoretical approaches to the study of the essence of psychological traumatization of law enforcement officers is disclosed. The authors emphasize the importance of understanding the systemic nature of the functioning of psychological defenses of the individual for the diagnosis, prevention and rehabilitation of mental trauma of law enforcement officers. The external and internal factors that provoke the occurrence and development of mental trauma in employees are determined.
