Abstract

The article examines the piano suite “Duo Ye” by the modern Chinese female composer Chen Yi. The research objective includes identifying specificity of the suite’s intonational-rhythmic and stylistic arrangement. Scientific originality of the study lies in the fact that it is the first Russian-language publication in which the composition is analysed taking into account integration of the Chinese tune and modern compositional techniques.
