Abstract
The development and transformation of ideas about the system resource-saving ecological technology of application, which led to the synthesis of the «VITA» system technology at industrial enterprises of the USSR, is described. The tendency towards replacing water-soluble coolants with synthetic ones and attempts to substitute process liquids with them during metalworking is revealed. A morphological tree of mathematical models is shown, which provides the possibility of forming a system complex that allows solving the problems of developing a resource-saving, environmentally friendly technological process for the use of synthetic coolant. A range of issues has been revealed that require solving in order to optimize equipment configurations, techniques and means for utilization of synthetic coolants.
