Abstract

The socio-economic development of the Russian Federation is a priority of the national development of the country. The article examines the relationship between the minimum wage level and various socio-economic indicators, such as the subsistence minimum level, unemployment, the population of the region and its GRP level, and the minimum accrued wages. The object of the study of the relationship between the minimum wage level and the achieved socio-economic indicators of the federal subjects of Russia is the development process of the federal subjects of the Russian Federation. Elaborating on the object of study, we take the subject of the research as the potential relationship between various indicators of the development of the federal subjects of the Russian Federation, specifying the process of their development. Thus, the paper aims to identify the relationship between various socio-economic indicators of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, characterizing the process of their development and the minimum wage level in the federal subjects of the Russian Federation. The scientific novelty lies in distinguishing two types of federal districts of the Russian Federation according to the relationship between the minimum wage value and the leading socio-economic development indicators. The main research methods are analysis, systematization and modeling. The paper reveals the relationships between individual factors of the socio-economic development of the country and the value of the minimum wage. In the course of the study, the author obtained the following results: the relationship between the level of the minimum wage and the leading indicators of the socio-economic development of the country, and two types of federal districts according to this relationship. The most practical interest of the study is the classification of federal districts in relation to the indicators of their socio-economic development to the minimum wage, which will allow adjusting the ongoing programs of their socio-economic development.
