Abstract

The article is devoted to materials on the history of the Kuban book business in the funds of the Pushkin House (IRLI RAS), which were identified. So far, only a few funds have been analyzed. In the archives of the Pushkin House there is a great chance to find more than a dozen documents that more fully reveal the stated topic. Their search, study and analysis are a long and long work, which will always require continuation. The material presented in the article is reflections, an attempt to formulate a problem, dwell on a few findings. It is focused on searching for materials about three natives of the Kuban – the acting chieftain of the Black Sea Cossack army, ethnographer, writer Yakov Gerasimovich Kukharenko, Cossack historian, writer, Lieutenant General Ivan Diomidovich Popko and a native of the Black Sea clergy, a graduate of the Kiev Theological Academy, and in future its Professor Karp Dmitrievich Gruzin.
