Abstract

The article presents the authors’ attempt to explain the territorial and demographic impera-tive of the English language and variability of the Russian language from the position of the linguistic theory of Russian scientist G. P. Melnikov. According to the founder of the theory of World Englishes at the present time in there is no any appropriate methodological basis for the explanation of the English language’s “triumphal march” in linguistics. Many works devoted to the variation of the Russian language, as well as English are not considered from the standpoint of systemic linguistics. It appears to the authors that a sys-tematic approach G. P. Melnikov has great explanatory power in the issue of linguistic vitality of these two languages. The authors rely on the concept of internal determinant as a specific attribute of the system developing in the direction of optimal adaptation to the completion of the super-system functional request and the external determinant that conditions functional requirements of the super-system. The article con-tains the language situations analysis of the Russian language as a language with event determinant and the language situations analysis of the English language as a language with occasional determinant.

ВАРИАТИВНОСТЬ АНГЛИЙСКОГО И РУССКОГО ЯЗЫКОВ В СВЕТЕ ЛИНГВИСТИЧЕСКОЙ

В статье осуществлена попытка объяснения территориального и демографического императива английского языка и вариативности русского языка с позиции лингвистической концепции российского ученого-системолога Г.П. Посвященные вариативности русского языка, также как и вариантам английского, не рассматриваются с позиций системной лингвистики. В современной лингвистике появились исследования, посвященные вариативности английского и русского языков [Об этом подробнее см.: Бахтикиреева 2014; Болтон 2012; Долгина 2010; Зубкова 2010; Качру 2012; Маковеева 2001; Прошина 2011, 2012, Смит 2010]. Как мы предполагаем, может содействовать более глубокому пониманию вопроса «как и почему английский язык стал часто используемым вспомогательным языком международного общения» и почему в последнее десятилетие лингвисты отмечают появление «вариантов» русского языка. Сформулированное ученым понятие внутренней детерминанты как особого свойства системы, развивающегося в направлении оптимальной адаптации к выполнению функционального запроса надсистемы, послужило фундаментом для создания им новой философско-методологической базы — системологии — общей теории систем. Как одного из базовых культурных феноменов мировой цивилизации, возникли новые условия, когда на его основе осуществляется межкультурная коммуникация представителей разноязыких и разно-культурных этносов. Когда «резко сужается исходный объем социального, общеизвестного знания; сужается та традиционная сфера содержания, в границах которой представители разных культур имеют основания надеяться на взаимное понимание; сокращается объем общеизвестных языковых единиц и круг тех ситуаций, в которых один человек считает необходимым вступить в общение с другим» [Мельников 2003: 123]
