Abstract
The article deals with the project method in teaching foreign languages, and English in particular, to the students of technical universities or technical faculties. The article considers the expediency of using the project method and its specific significance in teaching students of non-linguistic specialties. Special emphasis is laid on the connection between the project methodology and the professionally-oriented approach and the communicative method in teaching foreign languages.
