Abstract

Islam is a complete code of life, which provides solutions to the spiritual and material problems of both individual and collective lives of man. In the teachings of Islam, there are no separate standards of religion and the worldly affairs. There is no dual concept of education of schools, madrassas and mosques, but now-a-days these two fields are considered separately, which in itself leads to two extremes. There are very few scholars who have presented the concept of their integration, and presented a practical model themselves. One of these personalities is the name of Dr. Masood Ahmed (deceased: 2008) who was a master of both religious and worldly sciences. He was the luminary of a scholarly family as his father was associated with the profession of imam of Delhi's Jama Masjid, but he did his doctorate from a university along with traditional religious education, He was an imam of mosque as well as a professor in the college. He also remained a professor and trained people all his life. The article under review is a witness of his comprehensive style of personality. He conveyed the rules of religion to the people in the light of Quran and Sunnah. The focus of his teachings was the reformation of life matters.
