Abstract

Tao Yuanming (365 or 352-427) is a poet who was active in the East Qin Dynasty (317-420) and Liu Song Dynasty (420-479), the beginning of the Southern Dynasties, and as is well known, he is referred to as the ‘pastoral poet’. It is well known that Tao Yuanming sang an aloof life in nature by enjoying rural life without serving as a government official.
