Abstract

Physical detonation" - - - is a phenomenon when the detonation is caused not by chemical, but by physical energy focused on internal degrees of freedom, in this case on the vibrational degrees of freedom of hydrogen molecules. The Monte-Carlo method of non-stationary statistical simulation has been used to study the possibility of this phenomenon for pre-vibrationally excited hydrogen to a certain temperature in a shock tube. The boundary of this temperature above which "physical detonation" takes place in the numerical experiment is determined.
