РЕАЛІЗАЦІЯ ПРИЙМЕННИКОВИХ ВІДНОШЕНЬ СОЦІАТИВНОСТІ В РОМАНІ ЛЮКО ДАШВАР «НА ЗАПАХ М’ЯСА»

Abstract

Purpose. At present the prepositional space of works by Luko Dashvar is not systematically explored, therefore, this scientific investigation, which aims to analyze prepositions that implement the relations of sociativity on the material of the novel “On the Smell of Meat”, seems to be relevant. In order to achieve goal the following tasks have been fulfilled: to describe the place of sociative prepositions within the prepositional system of the modern Ukrainian language; to find all prepositions with the denotation of sociativity in the text under analysis; to classify and qualify isolated prepositional units; to find out the percentage of detected sociative prepositions. Methods. The research of relations of sociativity is performed on the basis of prepositional-case forms taking into account the sentence contexts. The functional-semantic, component, contextual analyses, as well as the quantitative method, have been used for substantiating the research results. Results. In the novel “On the Smell of Meat” by Luko Dashvar the relations of sociativity is implemented with 16 prepositions in the structure of 146 substantive-prepositional combinations. The nuclear unit of the field of sociativity is considerably predominant – it is the prepositional-case form with a proper-sociative preposition з + Instr. с.: it is used in 55.4% of all instances of the use of sociative prepositions. Sometimes the relations of compatible action are expressed with a proper-sociative preposition разом з (зі, із) – 13,7% and with the preposition of sociativity as a parallel connection за – 8,9%, occasionally – a sociative preposition of parallel connection услід (слідом) – 4.8%, actual sociative поряд з (зі, із) – 4.1%, при – 2.7%, sociativity as internal localization посеред – 2%, very rarely – sociative prepositions of parallel connection одночасно з (водночас із), internal localization серед, у компанії – 1,4% each. At least 0.7% each – the prepositional units of actual sociativity поруч із, у супроводі, sociativity – indivisible communication на самоті із, наодинці із, sociativity – leadership, patronage, control на чолі з, sociativity – reasons на прохання. Conclusions. For the expression of sociativity the writer primarily uses proper-sociative prepositions, which most expressively show the relation of compatible action; the prepositions of sociativity – comparison and contrast, as well as of sociativity – the way of action, are not used at all.
