The subjects were 30 elderly people aged 70 or older who had not undergone shoulder surgery or exercise therapy within the last 6 months.
Results: First, there was a significant difference in the change of shoulder pain before and after the exercise(p<.001).
Second, in the change of motion range of joint before and after the participation in shoulder stabilization exercise, right flexion (p<.001), left flexion (p<.001), right extension (p<.001) and left extension (p<.01) showed statistically significant changes.
Conclusion: In conclusion, the participation of shoulder stabilization exercise was proved to have a positive effect on shoulder pain and joint motion range of the elderly. This study is limited to the elderly over 70 years old registered in the elderly general welfare center, so it is not enough to generalize the results of this study to all the elderly, and the proportion of women among the total subjects is relatively higher than that of men. In the future study, it is necessary to correct the gender influence considering the characteristics of gender.,In addition, although there is a limitation in that the exercise intervention period was applied in a short period of 8 weeks, the application of stabilization exercise during the 8 weeks reduced the pain of the fish and improved the range of motion of the joints.
