Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of textual competence from the standpoint of the linguistic, communicative and activity approaches to the text study. Textual competence is considered as synthesis of various linguistic and communicative competencies of a communicator. It is suggested that textual competence is conditioned by the type of speech activity. Therefore its constituent competences require different linguistic and communicative knowledge, abilities and skills from a communicator every time. The authors explicate their assumption by the example of the aspectual model of textual competence of written speech activity.
