Abstract
The article is devoted to the study of the activities of national cultural associations of Kazakhs of the Novosibirsk region in the field of cultural heritage preservation. One of the largest national public organizations is the Novosibirsk regional public organization “Center of Kazakh Culture "OTAN"”, established on February 25, 2010. Significant and large-scale projects of the Center of Kazakh Culture “OTAN” include the Regional traditional holiday of Kazakh culture “Shanyrak”, the Regional choreographic festival-competition of Kazakh dance “Tan Sholpan” (“Rising Star”), the International practical seminar “Art and vocabulary of Kazakh dance”, the Regional festive concert "Nauryz in Siberia", etc. Along with the ethno-cultural direction, the priority in the activities of the autonomy is the language direction. Kazakh language courses are organized for children, which take place within the walls of the City's Interethnic Center. Classes for adults are held online. Zoom platform is used for distance learning. Another important direction in the activities of the Center of Kazakh Culture “OTAN” is the historical and local lore direction, within which expeditionary research is carried out in places of compact settlement of Kazakhs. In addition to oral history materials, objects of museum significance are also collected. The diverse activities of Kazakh national cultural associations in the field of cultural heritage preservation also include active work with young people and close cooperation with regional authorities, educational and cultural institutions and international organizations. Despite the obvious advantages, the work of public organizations for the preservation of heritage has its drawbacks associated with the lack of material and technical base, constant funding and methodological assistance.
