Abstract

The purpose of the study was to investigate the effects of muslim women’s physical activity level and cultural-psychological limiting factors on health · fitness, depression index and heart rate variability. The groups included a Non-Physical activity group(NP), a Middle-Physical activity group(MP), and a High-Physical activity group(HP). Moreover, based on the awareness of the physical activity, the participants were grouped into a Positive Group(P) and Negative Group(N). The physical measurements included body composition, muscular strength, muscular endurance, flexibility and cardiovascular endurance. In terms of by metabolic factors, TC, TG, blood sugar were measured. In addition, SDNN, RMSSD were measured as an index that represents the heart rate variability using a pulse wave analyzer(uBioMacpa)T. he analyses of the data results were as shown as follow. First, No significant difference in health-related variables(blood total cholesterole, triglyceride, blood glucose, blood pressure, etc) was found among three groups divdied according to level of physical activity. Second, the physical factors(muscular strength and muscular endurance) showed significant difference among three groups. Third, there was a significant difference of deperssed index and SDNN among three groups. Lastly, either positive or negative cognition for relationship between physical activity and marriage in islamic women of this study showed a significant effect on SDNN and RMSDD of heart rate variability.
