Abstract
본 연구에서는 아내의 우울과 화병이 남편의 우울과 화병에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 알아보고, 이 관계에서 남편의 결혼 만족도가 어떠한 조절 역할을 하는지 파악하기 위해 150쌍의 부부를 대상으로 수집한 자료를 분석하였다. 중다 회귀 분석 결과, 아내의 우울은 남편의 우울을 유의하게 예측하고, 아내의 화병은 남편의 화병을 유의하게 예측하는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 아내의 우울은 남편 화병의 예측 변인이 아니며, 아내의 화병은 남편 우울의 예측변인이 아닌 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 우울증과 화병이 다른 특성을 가진 독립적 정신장애라는 사실을 반영하는 것으로 해석된다. 마지막으로 남편의 결혼 만족도가 아내의 화병으로 인한 남편의 화병 유발 가능성을 낮추는 완충 역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. The purpose of the present study was to examine a) whether wife's depression and Hwa-Byung (HB) would predict husband's depression and HB and b) whether husband's marital satisfaction would moderate the relationship between wife's and husband's depression and HB. Results showed that wife's depression was significantly associated with husband's depression, and wife's HB was significantly associated with husband's HB. However, wife's depression was not a significant predictor of husband's HB, whereas wife's HB was not a significant predictor of husband's depression. This particular finding might reflect that depression and HB are related, yet distinct disorders. Lastly, husband's marital satisfaction was found to buffer the negative effect of wife's HB on husband's HB.
