Abstract
Social entrepreneurship and cooperative system and the relationship between them in North America and Western Europe have been discussed since the beginning of the 20th century and cooperative system is perceived as one of the main types of social entrepreneurship in the respective country or region. In Bulgaria, this topic is relatively new. In this regard, our team, through this publication, seeks to challenge the scientific-practical community to discuss this topic. In this regard, we present a characterization of the genesis and definition of the concept of “cooperative system” and illuminate it as a specific type of social entrepreneurship.
