Abstract

The purpose of the article is to analyze forming of a positive image of Internal Affairs bodies through the mass media. A comprehensive sociological analysis of available practices of using video hosting to form a positive image of officers of Internal Affairs bodies at the present stage is given. Much attention is given to the activities of divisions (departments, offices) to promote road traffic safety of the State Inspectorate For Traffic Security of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. The forms and methods of forming a positive image of traffic police officers in video hosting sites such as YouTube, Instagram* and TikTok are analyzed. It is also noted, that there are internal restrictive rules for the use of the studied media, which requires detail procedures for the use of the studied technologies to form a positive image of employees of Internal Affairs bodies. As a result, the authors draw conclusion that video hosting has an undoubted potential in forming a positive image of officers of Internal Affairs bodies.
