The author establishes that in the image of a restless hero, the spiritual quest of a representative of ancient culture during the Roman Empire decline is displayed. While studying the motives of “descent” and “ascent” the properties and features of another world depicted in ancient mysteries, where a hero “descends”, are discovered in the dilogy.
