Abstract

The purpose of this study is to study the treatment of diseases caused by damages to rasa-dh āu, majjā-dhātu and śukra-dhātu in the Ayurveda’s Caraka Saṁhitā. If rasa-dhātu is reduced due to damage to ‘rasa-dhātu’, fasting therapy(laṅghana) is good. It can maintain the balance of the t issues through the ‘diet for nutritional therapy(saṁtarpaṇa)’ of sweet and bitter taste. In addition, there is a ‘saṁtarpaṇa’ as a treatment for diseases caused by damage to the ‘śukra-dhātu’. When oil therapy(snehana) is properly administered, signs and symptoms such as constipation, good dig estion, soft stool, softness and smoothness of the body appear, and it is also useful in the treat ment of female genital disorders. ‘Steam therapy(svedana)’ is a therapy to remove stiffness, heav iness, and cold, but the areas that should not be used are the heart and eyes. ‘svedana’ has goo d symptoms, but it also has side effects, so it should not be administered to anyone. Diseases c aused by damages to ‘marrow tissue(majjā-dhātu)’ and ‘semen tissue(śukra-dhātu)’ can be treated with sweet and bitter ‘saṁtarpaṇa’. The subjects of dietary therapy were classified into five cate gories.
