Abstract

The article is devoted to the peculiarities of the influence of diplomatic efforts on preventing the escalation of a nuclear conflict. The authors come to the conclusion that for effective peaceful resolution of conflicts it is necessary to return to the foundations of new diplomacy, openness of action without using international law as a tool in the private and public interests of individual subjects of international law, and also to strengthen the role of the United Nations.
