Abstract

This paper presents a methodology for calculating limit points on equilibrium curves for stability problems of stiffened plates with initial imperfections. The values of critical loads are obtained and their corresponding general and local forms of stability loss from linear and nonlinear solutions are shown. To determine the coordinates of limit points on spatial curves, the method of non-specific continuations proposed by G.A. Manujlov is used. The diagrams of equilibrium states of connected solutions with limit points are constructed. The numerical solution of the above problems showed a good enough agreement with the semianalytical solution for the case of wave formation in an edge.
