Abstract

The paper presents a review of literature on hepatitis A and E among MSM (men who have sex with men), among whom the epidemiology has not been fully studied, especially that of sexual transmission of hepatitis E, as well as the infection rate among HIV-infected MSM patients. The scientific studies presented in the PubMed database have been analyzed. A clinical case of a mixed hepatitis A and E infection and acute HIV co-infection is presented. It has been concluded that MSM patients should be tested for the markers of hepatitis A and E.
