Abstract

The paper presents a comparison analysis of hydraulic calculations by various methods with actual measurements of pressure losses on an operating water main. There is identified equivalence of the compared methods for calculating pressure losses in operated metallic pipes. To ensure acceptable accuracy, it is crucial to select the calculated diameter and average roughness. During the period of over one year, there were carried out experiments on formation of corrosive deposits` layer on the surface of an unprotected steel pipe in low-flow conditions.
