Abstract

The article considers how orphans value themselves, analyses the impact of the orphans' self-worth on the success of their civic formation. The authors applied a set of sociological and psychodiagnostic methods; methods of self-assessment, ranking, content analysis, observation, praxiological situations. It has been proved that unlike children in the control group, children in the experimental group have significant positive changes in the development of their self-worth and realize the importance of civic engagement according to the criteria identified during the experiment.
