Abstract

This study is about the critical terminology “Dianxing(典刑)” used in Mao Kun(茅坤)’s literary anthology Tangsongbadajiawenchao(唐宋八大家文鈔), which aims to analyze and examine its meaning and application cases in terms of style criticism and character criticism. First, as a literary anthology, it will be explained that Mao Kun’s Tangsongbadajiawenchao has classical characteristics and expresses his critical significance. Next, I try to examine the origin of critical terminology “Dianxing(典刑)” and define its meaning. Finally, I try to analyze the text of proof as the main text, which is about Mao Kun, has most frequently used the critical terminology “Dianxing(典刑)” which is for Zeng Gong(曾鞏). And I focused on Xuwen(序文) and the stylistic definition and try to examine how its creative examples have applied. In addition, I try to analyze it, which is applied to Zeng Gong(曾鞏)’s “Xuwen(序文)” criticism of later writers and Mao Kun’s one, to examine the similarities and differences between them, and to identify his impact.
