Abstract

Purpose. To present a clinical case of bilateral surgical treatment of traction retinal detachment in proliferative diabetic retinopathy. Methods. A patient with type 1 diabetes mellitus came to the clinic with a diagnosis of proliferative diabetic retinopathy, traction retinal detachment in both eyes. Results. Performed surgical treatment made it possible to achieve good anatomical and functional results. Conclusion. Modern methods of vitreoretinal surgery optimize the results of treatment of patients with proliferative diabetic retinopathy. Key words: PDR; retinal detachment; vitrectomy.
