Abstract
The article examines the issue of the activities of trade unions in the police at the present stage. The opportunities provided to employees by trade unions are considered, their impact on improving the effectiveness of the activities of units, minimizing violations of discipline and legality is assessed. At the same time, the current obstacles in their activities, the problems of their functioning are given. In retrospect, their historical formation is studied, ideas for improvement are given.
