Abstract

The article examines the issue how modern social philosophy is able to solve urgent practical problems, which allows it to implement not only theoretical and methodological, but also applied functions. Having established connections between management problems and language, the authors analyze the possibilities of narratives, which are a powerful tool for creating and modeling reality. The importance of studying the image of territories as a subject field of modern social and humanitarian scientific research has been substantiated. On the example of the Kemerovo region, the role of different types of stories, embodied in archetypes, legends and simulacres, on the formation of the image of the territory under consideration is shown. It is confirmed that at present, stories are often questioned and can form not a positive image, but that hyperreality, which sometimes has nothing to do with regional narratives. In conclusion, it is shown that the problem of forming the image of territories requires additional study, primarily in the aspect of understanding their identity.
