Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify moderating effect of social and emotional intelligence for exchange relation, emotion labor, job related burnout, and customer-oriented behavior in golf caddies. Subjects (N=542) were selected from different golf courses by using the convenience sampling technique. The data were recorded and analyzed using PASW statistics 18.0. First, LME(leader-member exchange) and TME(team-member exchange) have negatively(-) influenced on job related burnout. Second, emotion labor have influenced on job related burnout. Third, job related burnout have negatively(-) influenced on customer-oriented behavior. Fourth, there is a significant processing moderating effect of social intelligence between LME/TME and job related burnout. Fifth, there is a significant processing moderating effect of emotional intelligence between emotional labor and job related burnout. This study will be a good basic data for selection, management, and education of caddies to have competition power of domestic golf courses.
