Abstract

This study was to investigate the effects of athletics pitching training on section speed and overrun turn in high-school baseball players. In order to achieve the purpose of this study, baseball players at D high school, were selected at random and allocated 12 baseball players each for the Non Exercise group(NEG), Deficient Exercise group(DEG), Over Exercise group(OEG) and measured section speed and overrun turn before and after the experiment. The results of this study were as follows: First, As a result of analyzing the change of section speed according to athletics pitching training, OEG was significantly improved compared to NEG and DEG. Second, As a result of analyzing the change of overrun turn according to athletics pitching training, OEG was significantly improved compared to NEG and DEG.<BR> As conclusions, this study confirmed that the athletics pitching training on section speed and overrun turn in high-school baseball players. However, there is a need for more specific exercise programs to be developed for the continual improvement of athletic performance in athletics along with further studies to confirm the physiological benefits of those programs.
