Abstract

The article summarizes the modern approaches, forms and ways of carrying out innovative activity in the defense sphere, presents contradictions in the practice and theory of implementation of innovative approaches in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, by which the necessary and sufficient conditions for their compatibility with the requirements of NATO, the creation of a scientific and methodological apparatus are achieved. efficiency of introduction of innovative activity, search of ways of transformation of scientific potential in the necessary resource. It is emphasized that the system of military science must be complex, consistent and facilitate the implementation of the state's innovation policy in the field of security and defense. Innovation is related to the creation, application and dissemination of research and development results in order to improve the quality (scientific and technical level) of products (goods, services). As a result of innovation, the necessary products are created, which must meet the established requirements. Thus, the realization of new knowledge in new products (services), and the achievements of science become an independent source of profit, which has its value. A significant feature of innovation at the university is that the implementation of research results occurs in the form of non-commercial exchange of innovative products by holding scientific and practical conferences, seminars, scientific and technical publications, etc., that is, a characteristic feature of the lack of innovative infrastructure that provides interaction of innovative activities. The analysis of the practical use of intellectual property objects shows that for effective use and their commercialization there is a need to create a specialized patent unit, which has modern information support and continuously searches for perspective forms of use for the purpose of transformation into products (service) market. The features of innovative processes that take place in the leading institution of higher education of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in modern conditions are shown.
