Abstract

The paper aims to describe the specificity of the stereotype image of MILITARY MAN in non-professional linguistic consciousness of the Russian culture representatives. The article presents the results of the analysis of the associative field MILITARY MAN high-frequency zones, considers their thematic classification. The components of the stereotype image of MILITARY MAN in the Russian non-professional linguistic consciousness have been identified, its description has been given based on the analysis. The scientific originality of the research lies in the fact that it remodels a fragment of the modern Russian ordinary linguistic consciousness which contains the stereotype picture of military men. As a result, it has been proved that the stereotype image of military men is generalized, schematic, simplified, standardized and represents a combination of informative, substantial, figurative and culturological components in connection with a strong positively-evaluative element.
