Abstract
This article is devoted to studying linguistic representation of the spiritual concept PERSISTENCE in the Russian linguistic worldview. The purpose of the study is to reveal semantic content of the concept PERSISTENCE represented by attributive word combinations. Scientific novelty of the work lies in the fact that language explication of the concept PERSISTENCE in the modern Russian media is considered for the first time. As a result of an analysis of semantic features of attributive word combinations with the key lexeme-representative, it is possible to identify a number of cognitive features of the concept PERSISTENCE expressing different types and spheres of its manifestation, source of its origin, characteristic of its carriers, as well as people’s evaluative attitude to this phenomenon.
