Abstract

The article considers the concept ПУТЬ-ДОРОГА (WAY) as the key concept of a folk fairy tale that performs both plot-forming and educational functions. Way is the equivalent of test, which a hero must pass in order to find himself and achieve the desired goal (or correct the consequences of his disobedience). A compulsory element of way is reward (and punishment) that a hero receives for moral qualities manifestation. This and other integral characteristics of way make up the fantastic chronotope of a folk fairy tale.
