Abstract

The study is devoted to the problem of forming economic literacy of schoolchildren. In the text-books specializing on preparing for the State Examination there are many practice-oriented tasks that contain the information contradicting the economical reality. Here we innumerate several contradictions and propose methods of improving such tasks in order to form the correct economic literacy. In our opinion, mathematical problems presented in this article can help to improve students’ mathematical knowledge, make them confident in making decisions in the financial sphere, and even attract their attention to ecological problems.
