Abstract

The purpose of this study is to develop a self-coaching program for the integrated growth of emotions, cognition, and behavior of parents of infants and toddlers based on the theory of schema therapy. This study is meaningful in helping parents of infants and toddlers to achieve integrated growth through self-coaching so that they can perform their own growth and parental roles well. For this end, an integrated growth self-coaching program was developed for parents of infants and toddlers who applied coaching by collecting and analyzing data through domestic previous studies and literature surveys. The self-coaching program for parents of infants and toddlers consisted of seven sessions of 21 hours, and dealt with the topics necessary for parents of infants and toddlers based on the basic theoretical skills of self-coaching. In this course, the parent self-coaching(4-ing) model and the new life coaching model were used. The specific program consisted of a Meeting-Feeling-Trying-Flowing step: the emotional area of the parent self-coaching(4-ing) model and the stage of meeting and feeling in the new life coaching model, and the stage of trying and flowing in the cognitive and behavioral area and life It is necessary to verify the validity of applying a self-coaching program for infants and toddlers developed in this study, and it is expected that the study will contribute to expanding the scope of the coaching approach by providing access to healthy parents as well as parents who are expected to have emotional difficulties in the future.
