Abstract

The paper aims to reveal Petersburg image in the novel by the modern Jordanian author Kafa Al-Zoobi “Leila, Snow and Lyudmila”. Scientific originality of the study is conditioned by the fact that this problem has not been previously investigated in domestic literary criticism. As a result, it is proved that recurrent Petersburg theme allows the writer deeper revealing personages’ characters, enriches their images and helps to create a realistic picture of Russia at the turn of the XX-XXI centuries.
