Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of the phenomenon of emotional maturity of the personality. The most popular generative and partial models of emotional maturity of personality are revealed. A five-component model of emotional maturity is shown, consisting of the following elements: reflection of emotions, emotional self-regulation, empathy, emotional expressiveness, of one's own emotions. The correlation between the integral index of emotional maturity of the individual and the indicators of parental attitude was established. Emotional maturity is positively correlated with the acceptance and type of attitude; an inverse correlation was found between emotional maturity and the symbiosis and small failure type of attitude. Differences in subjective perceptions of types of parental attitudes between groups with high and low levels of emotional maturity are shown; in individuals with high levels of emotional maturity, such types of parental attitude as acceptance and are predominant, while in the group of persons with low levels of emotional maturity such indicators as symbiosis and small failure are more pronounced. The four-factor structure of emotional perception of parental attitude of emotional maturity of a person is presented; the first factor is positive adaptation as a result of acceptance”, the second one is dominance through hostility”, the third factor is bipolar emotions from cooperation with parents”, the fourth one is joy from infantile position”. Specifics of manifestation of the selected factor structure for each of the research groups is revealed. Specific for representatives of a group with high levels of emotional maturity is the factor of positive adaptation as a consequence of acceptance; in subjects with low levels of emotional maturity, the factors of dominance through hostility and joy from infantile position are more pronounced.
