Abstract

The analysis of scientifi c articles has shown several attempts to systemize the defi nitions of the meaning of talent in business and to fi nd one universal defi nition. The fact that there are many varieties of this defi nition and similar organizations imply diff erent factors for it, made us suppose about the infl uence of context on the defi nition. The analysis of annual surveys in diff erent countries has shown the infl uence of internal and external context on talent interpretation and practices of attracting and retaining talented employees. It is concluded that there can’t be one universal defi nition of the meaning of talent. Every time it is necessary to consider the infl uence of environmental factors.
