Abstract

This article presents information on the conditions of CO2 emission and accumulation in the city of Yanaul in the Republic of Bashkortostan. Information about the current system of land use due to assessment of the carbon balance is given. Ways of improving, modifying urban space in order to diminish the carbon footprint are noticed. Changes in land use patterns can not only have a positive impact on the process of reducing free CO2 in the atmosphere, but also increase the sustainability of urban ecosystems and the well-being of the population.
