Abstract

Compact specimens of a low-alloy copper alloy of the composition Cu–Cr with a relative density of 99.8 %. The influence of hot isostatic pressing and its combination with quenching and aging on the structure evolution of synthesized copper alloy samples. After gasostatic post-treatment of the synthesized samples, followed by quenching and aging, highly dispersed Cr(Cu) particles precipitated from the copper matrix, which led to an increase in tensile strength. Anisotropy was evaluated under tension of vertical and horizontal specimens after various types of post-processing.
