Abstract

The article is devoted to the peculiarities of the interpretation of ILO Convention No. 87 on Freedom of Association and Protection of the Right to Organize in the exercise of its supervisory functions by the ILO Committee of Experts on the Application of conventions and recommendations, the legal status of the Committee in the structure of the ILO bodies, clarification of the Committee's position on the relationship between the right to strike and the right to form a trade union, the decision of the ILO Governing body to appeal to the International Court of Justice on the interpretation of Convention No. 87.
