Abstract

Purpose: Since it first appeared on the streets, breaking, also known as breakdance or b-boying, has grown and gained popularity as a competitive art form that combines elements of dance, music, and athleticism. The new sport, named breaking will make its debut at the 2024 Olympic games in Paris. In this vein, this study is the first attempt to investigate the structural relationships among event quality, flow, perceived value, satisfaction, and future behavioral intention, focusing on spectators at the 2022 WDSF Breaking World Championship.BR Method: SPSS 24.0 and AMOS 24.0 were used for statistical analyses, such as descriptive statistics analysis, factor analysis, and structural equation model analysis.BR Results: The results of this study suggested that (1) game quality, functional quality, and physical environment quality had a significant influence on spectators’ flow, flow, perceived value, and satisfaction, and (2) flow, perceived value, and satisfaction were found to be significant predictors of future behavioral intentions.BR Conclusion: The findings of this study stress the significance of event quality in the context of breaking events and the mediating roles of flow, perceived value, and satisfaction in predicting sport consumers’future behavior.
