Abstract
The article presents the results of studies of children and adolescents on reading problems conducted in 2021. Special attention is paid to the study of gender differences in the reading of children of different sexes. Girls’ reading and boys’ reading differ greatly due to a number of factors. Gender otherness is most pronounced in adolescence. There is an objective need to use different methods and technologies to introduce girls and boys to reading.
